Some time in the 50’s the idea of a computer started to take hold of a critical mass of people, and depending on who you ask, sometime in the late 70’s and early 80’s the computer was born. Xerox labs came up with a 2d icon driven screen, and a mouse similar to the current design. 35+ years later we are using the great great grandchildren of those designs.
